PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday directed the officials of Directorate of Mines and Geology, Forest and Environment to expedite the next round of e-auctioning of mining blocks and other pending issues.
Taking to X (formerly twitter), the Chief Minister said he also reviewed issues related to mining of major minerals.
Sawant said he discussed issues related to the minor mining industry like obtaining environmental clearances, lease renewal, approval of quarry plan, issue of royalty or transit pass, fines and gave directions to officials to clear pending issues in a time bound manner.
The high-level meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goyal and Director General of Police (DGP) Jaspal Singh, among others.
