PANJIM: In a significant operation, the Crime Branch police arrested two persons on the charge of transporting illegal quarrying activities and also seized a vehicle at Dharbandora-Sanvordem junction, Wednesday night.
The police gave the names of the accused as Bhujang Khatavkar (32) and Talak (35) both residents of Guddemol, Sanvordem.
Six boxes of 1,200 gelatin sticks and 300 electronic detonators were seized from their vehicle. Cops suspect that the accused were carrying illegal explosives without valid licences for quarrying activities.
