PONDA: The concrete and tar holding the drain grates covers on the road between Marcel bus stand and Devki Krishna Temple, are exposed and posing a risk to motorists and pedestrians.
During the rain, the gap created between drain grates and gutter, fills with muddy water and motorists and pedestrians are unable to see the serious risk that this gap poses.
Locals disclosed that since the past few months, the drain grates are exposed.
They stated that this gap poses risk to light and vehicles and bike riders.
Therefore, locals demanded that the PWD and village panchayat, need to inspect and repair the gaps immediately before any untoward or fatal accidents occur on the road.
