MARGAO: The externment proceedings filed against Francis Pereira by the Superintendent of Police South Arvind Gawas that was to be heard by the Collector on Friday has now been scheduled for October 24 as the Collector was not present.
The police have sought externment of Francis Pereira from the South Goa district on grounds that he was involved in vandalizing religious places that caused tension in the district.
However, Francis has been discharged in around 11 cases filed against him by the police in Salcete and in only one case pertaining to the desecration of the cross near the old canoe crossing at Cotta in Chandor charges have been framed against him.
