MARGAO: With patients complaining of missing their breakfast, no hot water for consumption and bathing purpose, the officials of South Goa District Hospital’s COVID Hospital informed that they have written to the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane in this regard and added that facilities are falling in place.

South Goa District Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Deepa Correia said, “There was a sudden rise in patients and 35 attendants which resulted in a delay in providing them with breakfast. Drinking water and hot water have been provided to the patients.”

Dr Deepa Correia said, “There was some issue with regards to hot water for bathing purpose for which I have written to the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane. The building is new and there will be hiccups. We will put all the issues to rest soon.”

GSIDC general manager Jude Carvalho informed that probably because of the weather, the solar panels could not heat the water enough.

Carvalho said, “The boilers that are installed to heat the water need to be put into service. We have readied all the necessary facilities at the hospital and handed them to DHS for operations.”
