MANDREM: Former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, who is contesting as Independent candidate after being denied a BJP ticket, on Sunday exuded confidence of winning the Mandrem seat during the upcoming Assembly elections scheduled on February 14.
Addressing media persons, Parsekar said, “No matter which candidates are in fray, I will win the elections. Just wait for the results on March 10.”
Parsekar, who was denied the saffron party ticket, took a dig at BJP Goa Election incharge Devendra Fadnavis claiming that the former Maharashtra Chief Minister was misled into believing that he (Parsekar) would lose the upcoming election. Parsekar claimed that unlike his rival supporters, he has supporters all over the constituency and he would triumph in the end. “Today I am in Tuem carrying on my door-to-door campaign, tomorrow I will be going to Morjim. Wherever I go my supporters are present. I will prove that I still have a hold in Mandrem,” the former CM added.
