PANJIM: Civil Supplies and Price Control Minister Govind Gaude on Monday said that all fair price shops will have to install Point of Sale (PoS) machines by March 31, 2018 and arrangements for this have been made.
“I held a meeting with fair price shop owners. At the meeting there was only one important point which we have taken up on priority, that of PoS machines. Arrangements have been made to provide these at all fair price shops as I have made it compulsory that the shops must have it,” Gaude told the media on the sidelines of a press conference
“By March 31, 2018 all fair price shops will install POS machines. This decision was unanimously accepted and there was no objection. The number of fair price shops in Goa are approximately around 456, of which 42 had already installed it on a pilot basis,” he said
