PANJIM: As the Margao police continue to investigate into the suicide of Vedashri Parab, her father-in-law who is a police sub inspector with Ponda traffic cell and husband are absconding to avoid arrest, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said.
Update on the case was tabled by the Chief Minister in the House on Friday in response to a calling attention moved by Valpoi MLA Vishwajit Rane.
“The father in law of the deceased, Atmaram Parab, has applied for 30 days earned leave from July 16, 2014 and the same is not granted, and his present whereabouts are not known,” the three page reply says.
