Father-son duo killed in mishap

PERNEM, MAY 11
A father-son duo from Katodem-Tuem died, after the scooter in which they were traveling collided against a bus along the highway at Poraskadem-Pernem on Tuesday at about 2.30 pm.
According to Pernem police, the accident took place when Tukaram Padloskar (35) and his son (4), who were proceeding on their Vespa scooter (GA-01-L-4243) towards Patradevi, collided against an
oncoming passenger bus (MH-02-XA-1512), which was proceeding from Pune towards Panjim.
Tukaram, who sustained grievous injuries, died on the way to Vrundavan Hospital, while his son died in the hospital. Later, the bodies were sent for autopsy at GMC Hospital in Bambolim.
Pernem police have registered case of rash and negligent driving against the bus driver.
It is learnt that Padloskar was working in factory at Tuem Industrial Estate. He is survived by his wife and a two-year-old daughter.
