MARGAO: In a major crack down on matka gambling, Fatorda Police raided the residence of matka bookie Ramesh Huboli at his residence and arrested him along with three other associates and also seized some gambling material and cash.
Raiding the row house belonging to Ramesh at Classic Harmony near BPS Club at Pajifond, police caught Ramesh red handed while accepting matka bets and seized Rs 46,950 from him and also found matka gambling articles including a calculator.
Three other persons were arrested along with Ramesh. They are Ningappa Nagari, Mohamed Shaikh both residents of Margao and Mehboob Shaikh, a resident of Pajifond.
