Fatorda Police bust inter-State robbers gang

MARGAO: Fatorda Police on Thursday busted an inter-State robbers gang involved in the theft of parts of the parked vehicles from different places, all the robbers are from Mumbai. 

Shamsuddin Mohammad Adish Shah (21), Saddam Makaish Khan (26), and Shamsuddin Mujjadin Khan (21) were arrested at Kurla, Mumbai, the police stated. 

There were altogether two different theft complaints that had been filed before the Fatorda Police. Complainant Gulzar Bi, resident of Fatorda in her complaint stated on July 17 and 18 morning unknown accused persons committed theft of silencer of her Maruti Eco Cargo car worth Rs 75,000, which was parked in an open parking place outside her building. 

While the second complaint was filed by Floriano Vazo of Agalli, Fatorda stating that between June 10 and 14, robbers had committed theft of silencer worth Rs 15,000 of his Eco car, which was parked in an open parking place. 

Meanwhile, on Wednesday night, four gaddas near the KTC bus stand, Margao were reported burgled, ransacked and robbed each to the tune of Rs 7,000 to 8,000. The latches cut similar to the chapel robbery which was reported a few days back at Margao.
