MARGAO: Fatorda Police have arrested one Mantesh Nevargi (26), resident of Zaurinagar, for allegedly possessing 2.05 kgs of narcotics substance suspected to be ganja.
According to the police, cost of the recovered ganja is Rs 2 lakh. During a narcotic raid conducted at Margao KTC bus stand, Mantesh was arrested. The alleged accused was interrogated and during interrogation and search, the police found ganja in his possession.
Police said he had come to the KTC bus stand to deliver the contraband. However, it was not known whom he wanted to deliver the parcel. The alleged accused has been booked under NDPS Act.
