PANJIM: The Women’s Police Station, Panjim, has registered a case against Lezio Fernandes, 32, currently residing at Murida-Fatorda on the charge of allegedly raping a woman from Tiswadi taluka.
The victim in her complaint lodged on January 25, stated that the accused on the pretext of marrying allegedly sexually assaulted her on several occasions from January 8 to 19 and also threatened to make her obscene photographs viral.
The Women’s Police Station has registered a case against Fernandes under Sections 376 and 420 of IPC. According to the police, the accused hails from Agonda, Canacona and was presently residing at Murida-Fatorda. It is learnt that he is a musician.
