MARGAO: The Food & Drugs Administration (FDA) gave on-the-spot licences to 37 food operators in Colva and Benaulim at two camps held in both the villages.
In collaboration with the Benaulim panchayat and Covla panchayat, FDA conducted two camps on Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) registration and licencing.
Food Business Operators (FBOs) were also guided on the application of registration certificate and licence and were also made aware about hygiene sanitation and documentation required for a fresh application. Queries of the participants were also resolved.
A total of 39 FBOs were present at the Benaulim camp, out of which on-the-spot registration certificates were issued to a total of 17 FBOs. At the Colva Registration Camp, a total of 52 FBOs, including the President of Lions Club were present, out of which on-the-spot registration certificates were issued to a total of 20 FBOs.
