MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has expressed fears that a disaster similar to the Ruby Residency collapse at Canacona could happen at Angdi, Loutolim due to shoddy construction of approach roads. In a letter to South Goa Collector, AAP said, “There is a likelihood of a disaster at Angdi, Loutolim, akin to Ruby Residency at Canacona due to shoddy construction of approach roads at over 20 metres height is ex facie illegal and substandard; as such, it is posing danger to the lives and properties of the people along the road.”
The letter, signed by AAP leader Ramiro Mascarenhas, says that residents of Loutolim had brought to notice the substandard construction of approach roads to the missing link of NH66 at Loutolim. He said that a team had paid a visit at the site, and it was noticed that the condition was such that one could see how substandard the work was.
