VALPOI: Gawda Kunbi Velip and Dhangar (GAKUVED) Federation along with the tribal people from Solye in Honda Panchayat jurisdiction on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Valpoi Police demanding the arrest of panch Suresh Madkar for assaulting Dattaram Gawade, a tribal youth from Solye.
Dattaram Gawade said, “I was driving the truck from Solye to Honda, when suddenly Madkar came and stopped me. He then dragged me out and started assaulting me and used filthy words based on caste.”
Another villager Anand Gawade said, “Madkar used filthy language to our members a few days ago thereby hurting the feelings of the tribal people. So we demand that the Valpoi Police register a complaint against Madkar.”
“We demand that Home Minister Pramod Sawant take the strict action against the Madkar for assaulting the tribal youth,” demanded Rupesh Velip, Gawda Kunbi Velip and Dhangar (GAKUVED) Federation general secretary.
