MAPUSA: The Festival of Stars event was organized by Parra Citizens’ forum on December 22 at Parra Tinto. The 4th All Goa Star and 2nd All Goa Carol singing competitions were held. Close to 2,000 people participated in the former and 15 groups participated in the latter. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said Christmas is a festival, which gives a message of love, sacrifice and service to humanity and that people of different faiths come together, which is the strength of Goa. Calangute MLA Michael Lobo and others also spoke.
