MARGAO: The fifth Children’s Literature Conference, organized by Konkani Bhasha Mandal, will be held from February 15 to 16, 2024 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
The conference is a great step towards improving the quality of children’s literature in Goa and achieving the goal of spreading a culture of reading among children.
Preparations for the conference are in full swing and the best speakers and writers from India, working in the area of children’s literature will participate in the conference and express their views.
“We understand that today’s children are the future of our country. Today’s children need to develop reading habits and love literature and books. Therefore there is also a need to publish and develop books and other reading materials in tune with today’s time”, said Anwesh Singbal, President of KBM.
For this purpose, Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Goa has been organizing children’s literature conferences since 2017. Till date, over 1,000 teachers, writers, illustrators and literature lovers have benefited from it, she added.
Organizers have urged teachers, writers, readers and children’s literature lovers who wish to attend the conference to register by filling out a Google form.
