MARGAO: Filipinha Fernandes was elected unopposed as the Sarpanch of Loutolim Village Panchayat at a meeting held on Monday. Eight of the nine Panchayat members attended the meeting. Eng. Nafiza Sheik was the presiding officer.
Filipinha said that her priority as a sarpanch would be to work for the development of the village by taking into confidence all her colleagues and the people of the village. She expressed confidence of support from all as she has been elected unopposed for the post.
