BICHOLIM: The film industry besides providing entertainment and education is economically viable, always developing and progressing across the globe, said Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Rathore.
Speaking at Sesa Football Academy Sanquelim, the minister said around 1600 films are produced annually.
“IFFI is giving a platform for Indians so that they can connect to the International filmmakers,” he said.
“There are several segments and this year keeping into consideration “Khelo India”, we have kept a sports segment,” Rathore said and added that these films are inspirational films produced to inspire people and are directly related to the society.”
He said, “To make Goa still more colourful we have also stressed on street cinema.”
