PANJIM: Calangute BJP MLA Michael Lobo, who had masterminded the formation of BJP-led coalition government under late Manohar Parrikar, post March 2017 election, has finally been rewarded with a Ministerial berth.
Lobo was sworn in as Minister along with three others on Saturday.
The two-time BJP MLA was the one who took lead to ensure that BJP forms the government with support of Goa Forward party (GFP) and Independents.
Despite his efforts, Lobo was made only Deputy Speaker, which did not go well with the MLA. However, he stood with the party.
When Parrikar expanded his Cabinet in September 2018, by dropping ailing ministers late Francis D’Souza and Pandurang Madkaikar, Lobo found no place.
