PONDA: Acting on a complaint from an NGO, Ponda Police on Wednesday lodged an FIR against a Ponda taluka-based primary school teacher for outraging the modesty of a minor girl.
The 28-year-old male teacher has been booked under Sections of POCSO and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act. The incident occurred in July 2018.
Ponda DySP Nelson Albuquerque said they have booked the teacher after the Margao-based NGO lodged a complaint. However, the accused was not arrested till late Wednesday evening.
The NGO has also submitted the video clip along with the complaint as evidence.
