MAPUSA: Colvale police registered an FIR against an under-trial prisoner for trying to escape from the Colvale Jail.
Mukund Gawas, Jailor of Central jail, Colvale lodged a complaint stating that on Wednesday May 7 at about 3.10 pm when prisoners were taken for fresh air and free movement in the new admission block, the accused Pradeep Khalko who is an under trial remanded to Central Jail Colvale just three days back by the JMFC court Sanguem of Railway Police Vasco, made an attempt to escape by climbing the inner compound wall of new admission block by taking support of ground floor roof and gate when a IRB staff posted on the watch tower noticed him and alerted the jail staff who nabbed him.
