PANJIM: The Women’s Police on Tuesday registered an offence against an employee of Public Works Department (PWD) on charges of allegedly sexually harassing a juvenile girl. A First Information Report under Sections 354 (sexual harassment) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of Indian Penal Code is registered against the 45-year-old George Dias, based on a complaint lodged by the girl’s mother on Monday.
The complainant stated that the man and her daughter had a verbal duel over a petty issue during which she was allegedly harassed sexually. The investigation team is likely to summon Dias for questioning.
