A fire broke out at an unoccupied apartment in Siolim in the wee hours of Friday. Before the firefighters could arrive, the door had already been opened by unknown persons. The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit due to a faulty washing machine. Police will conduct further investigations since the owner of the apartment resides outside Goa.
