PANJIM: The fields situated at Camrabhat-Taleigao, caught fire on Saturday late evening.
On getting the information, the Panjim fire personnel rushed to the spot but they had a tough time to reach the area due to the narrow road. However, the firemen walked to the spot and put out the blaze with the help of tree branches (beaters).
But after few hours, the fire brigade once again rushed to the spot as the blaze erupted in the fields again causing panic among the local residents.
“It’s becoming difficult to reach the spot as fire has again started in the middle of the fields. The fire tender cannot reach the spot,” according to the Panjim Fire Station official.
However, the exact cause of fire was not known.
