PANJIM: A fire broke out at the municipal building in the city on Wednesday causing panic among the occupants of the building.
According to the Panjim Fire and Emergency Services, the fire was caused due to a short circuit in a refrigerator kept in a shop.

“The plywood kept over the refrigerator caught fire and smoke started emanating outside. We received a call at 7.36 pm and our crew was rushed to the spot. The fire was put out but loss could not be estimated as the owner of the shop was not present at the time of the incident,” a staff attached to Fire and Emergency Services told O Heraldo.
