VASCO: Ticket reservation facilities at the Vasco railway station hampered for over an hour due to a fire in the booking office on Thursday morning.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the morning due to some electrical short circuit in the ticket reservation office. Before the same could spread and damage equipments including the server, the alert railway staff used fire extinguisher and doused the flames after cutting off the power supply.
“Due to the fire incident, reservation facilities at the station were temporarily stopped. However, the same resumed shortly after repair works of the faulty power supply line. There is no major damage or loss,” said a railway official.
