Fire mishap averted at Margao

MARGAO, SEPT 15
The fire services averted a major tragedy when firemen successfully put off a fire on a gas cylinder pipe and removed a leaking LPG cylinder from a hotel in the city here on Wednesday noon.
The incident occurred at around 12.30 pm when a gas pipe connecting the cooking stove to the cylinder caught fire. Around the same time, the cylinder was found leaking, creating a panic situation in the hotel.
After receiving information from the hotel, the fire services immediately rushed to the spot, first extinguished the fire and removed the cylinder out of the hotel, averting a major tragedy.
