VASCO: Ten fire personnel sanitised the area around Mormugao Municipal Council by spraying disinfectant using fire tenders, on Friday.
The sanitisation work was carried out under supervision of local MLA Carlos Almeida, Urban Development Minister Milind Naik and councillors.
Speaking to the media, Fire Inspector Francisco Mendes said that as per the government’s instructions, since past four to five days, they have been carrying out the sanitisation in the villages of Chicalim, Sancoale and MMC area.
He said that they had to use two fire tenders to cover larger area of Vasco which usually they do by utilising one fire tender.
