Fire tender stationed at Sonsodo

MARGAO, MARCH 26
Complying with the High Court directives, a fire tender made its presence felt at the Sonsodo dump yard on Thursday.
The fire tender was found stationed at the dumping site upon a request from the Margao Municipal Council as per the court directions.
Officials of the Margao Municipal Council carried out measurement of the dumping site in order to prepare estimates toward procurement of tarpaulin sheets to cover the dump yard.
MMC Sanitary inspector Viraj Arabekar informed that the fire tender will be stationed at the dump yard till the onset of monsoons as per the high court directions.
He further informed that the Municipality would float a tender to purchase tarpaulin sheet to cover the site before monsoons.
