PANJIM: Sharad Vengurlekar, a driver operator, attached to Pernem Fire Station, was accorded a warm farewell on the occasion of his superannuation. Vengurlekar was felicitated with a floral bouquet, traditional lamp, shawl, departmental memento and a gift at the Fire Force Headquarters, St Inez, Panjim.
The officials present on the occasion were Nitin V Raiker (Deputy Director – Fire), Rajendra A Haldankar (divisional officer), Ajit K Kamat (assistant divisional officer), Angelina Fernandes (head clerk). Amey Kenkre (sub-officer) delivered a welcome address while Nitin V Raiker delivered a eulogy of Vengurlekar.
Sushil Morajkar and Rajendra A Haldankar shared their experience of working with Vengurlekar. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ajit K Kamat.
