Cuncolim: Pope John XXIII High School Quepem became the first digital school in the Quepem Taluka. Vice Provincial Of Don Bosco Konkan Province Fr. Paul Inaugurated the Pope John XXIII DigiTronic School. Principal of Chadrabhaga Tukoba Higher Secondary School Vaman Bhadri, Rector Od Don Bosco Quepem Fr. Tamatur Cardozo And Principal of Poipe John XXIII High Scholl Fr. Dominic Savio Fernandes were present.
Speaking on the Occasion Fr.Paul Dsouza Said that this is the Digital and Electronic era. So the Students and Teachers must be highly equipped with the modern technology and modern information Technology. He appealed student and teachers to make the better use of the facilities provided to them. Fr. Paul Further said that one cant depend on the out dated method of teaching. To face the modern world challenges its essential top every child and teacher to understand the importance of technology in Education. He Complimented the School management for taking the step forward to make the school one of the best school in Goa.Rector Fr.Tamatur Cardozo also graced the occasion.
Principal Of Chandrabhaga Tukoba Naik Higher Secondary School and The president of Quepem TLSC Mr. Vaman Bhadri said that Pope John is providing best facilities to the village students which are not available even in City School. It’s a unique thing in Quepem to have one of the well equipped School. He complimented Fr. Dominic Savio for providing such type of facilities to students. As the part of Bicentenary year Don Bosco Pope John has converted their school into Digitronic Shool.
Principal of the School Fr.Dominic Savio Fernades said that School has introduced the new project of Digitronic School. Every Class from First Standard to Eight will have T.V sets in the classes . And Std IX and Xth will have LCD projectors in the classes. Thirty Three T.V sets and Six LCD projectors have been installed in all the classes. Every class will have the activity based teaching all teachers are trained to teach the activity based teaching . Fr. Domnic said that my reachers will not teach but learning activities will enhance the students to understand the Concept.School Became the Wi-Fi School. Every class room has the internet access. Besides that School will shortly start their E-library .Pope John XXIII high school a Don Bosco run School is one of the key school in kepem Taluka. School is providing the best infra structure for study as well as for other non curriculus activities like sports and Cultural Activities. Fr.Dominic savio reveald that the School has achieved laurels in Athletics, Football, Girls Football, Basketball, Drama and Science.
