PANJIM: The Goa Board’s first terminal exam for Class X and XII students will begin from November 10.

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has announced the examination schedule. As per the schedule, Class X exam will end on November 29, while Class XII exam will be over on November 25.

The exams will begin at 2.30 pm on each day and students have to report to the examination centre at 2 pm. Close to 18,000 students in each class are expected to answer the first term examination. The second terminal exam is likely to be held from April 1, 2023.

For the academic year 2021-22, the Board had introduced a special evaluation scheme for Class X and XII students.

As per the special evaluation scheme, the syllabus is divided into two equal parts for the first term and the second term.

The Board conducts both these term-end examinations in lieu of conducting a single public exam at the end of the academic year.

While the first-term exam is based on multiple-choice questions, the second-term exam is the usual subjective type.
