First terminal exam for Class X, XII to begin from Nov 10

Second public exam is tentatively scheduled from March 1 and April 1 next year, for X and XII respectively

PANJIM: The first terminal examination for Class X and Class XII will begin from November 10, while their second public exam is tentatively scheduled from March 1 and April 1, next year, respectively. 

The Goa Board of Secondary and High Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has invited applications to register students for the Class X and XII public exams. The registration process will begin from August 8 for a period of one month, till September 8. 

In view of Covid-19 pandemic, for the academic year 2021-22, the Board had introduced a special evaluation scheme for Class X and XII and the same has been extended by the Board for the current academic term. 

As per the circular issued by the Board, the practical examination of Class XII General and Vocational stream students will be tentatively held on February 1, 2023 while for Class X it is scheduled on March 3, next year. 

The Board has informed that the repeaters of public examination held in April 2022, will have to answer the first and second term exam for the subject where the grade is I or H. Their last term internal assessment will be carried forward. They can also answer directly the second term exam but for entire syllabus. 

As per the special evaluation scheme, the syllabus is divided into two equal parts for the first term and the second term. The Board conducts both these term-end examinations, wherein the first term is of multiple-choice questions for 50 per cent of the portion while the second term with subjective questions for remaining portion.
