MARGAO: The South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) chairperson has complained that the association of wholesale fish traders led by M Ibrahim has still not submitted the details of vehicles that are bound to the wholesale fish market.
During the meeting on Friday, Chairperson Wilfred D’Sa, harping on the fact that the fear of formalin laced fish is still in the minds of Goans, urged the traders and transporters of fish to give details of the vehicles coming in the SGPDA wholesale market.

The SGPDA chairperson informed that the market will be constructed by the authority.
“The Authority has decided to add the cold storage facility in the new plan which wasn’t marked in the previous one. Land will be marked and the same will be completed on a Public-private partnership (PPP) method.”
“The Authority further decided that the Margao and Ponda outline development plan (ODPs) will be opened and the objections and suggestions to the previous plans will be sent to the Town and Country Planning Department,” he added.
