VASCO: After several years of delay, the plan for fish market in Vasco may finally see the light of the day.
Towards this end, the first round of meeting with the fishermen at the Vasco fish market was held on Tuesday and was chaired by the Chairperson of Mormugao Municipality Kritesh Gaonkar himself.
The fishermen at the Vasco fish market have presently agreed to the plan shown to them by the municipal chairperson. This market will be built by the Goa state Urban Development Authority (GSUDA).
At the meeting, the chairperson managed to get the fishermen agreed to the plan having parking space on the ground floor and fish sale on the first floor. It has also been agreed that the MMC would inform the fishermen the final plan before tendering the work.
Chairperson Gaonkar claimed that there is agreement on the present plan and he would soon go for finalization of the plan and tender the works.
