SANGUEM: Five agriculturists from Sanguem having their cashew plantations at Mugoli ward of Uguem panchayat suffered extensive losses after their cashew plantation was set on fire by some unknown person.
The fire was reportedly first set in the cashew plantation of Premanand Desai; it subsequently spread to the cashew plantations owned by Prakash Desai, Vinay Desai, Taramati Velip and Krishna Desai. All the five cashew plantations were adjacent to each other and were totally gutted in fire, sources informed.
