MAPUSA: Anjuna police arrested five Nigerian nationals identified as Uche Joy Okafor (36), Ebuka Chiuba so Godwin Obiekme (37), Onyibor Michael Okwudili (23), Joseph Ndule (39), Emmanuel Aluma (32) and one Dion Robert Albert (31) Ivory Coast national without possessing valid travel documents during a check conducted on Saturday.
In this connection, the police have registered a case under Section 7(1) (3) (iii) of Foreigners Order 1948 punishable U/s 14 of Foreigners Act 1946.
Dion was earlier arrested in 2021 under Section 21(a) of NDPS and was on bail while Uche Joy was placed under arrest in 2020 under Section 21 (b) of NDPS Act by Anjuna Police.
Ebuka Chiubu, who is presently residing at Parra was earlier arrested by Anjuna police under Section 21(b) of NDPS Act and Section 3 (2)(a) & 6 (a) Passport entry into India Rule 1950, Section 3 & 4 of Passport Entry into India 1920 and Section 7 (i) (ii) Foreigners Order 1948 & Section 14 of Foreigners Act 1946.
Onyibor, presently residing at Parra was arrested by Crime Branch Police under Section 21 (a) of NDPS Act, Section 7(1)(3) of the Foreigners order 1948 r/w Section 14 of Foreigners Act, 1946 & Section 3 (a) & 6 (a) of Passport Entry into India Rule 1950 & Section 3 r/w 4 of passport Entry Act 1920.
