Five Hindi Feature Films comprises the Indian Panorama list of 41st International Film Festival of India (IFFI) starting next month, here.
Out of the 26 selected feature films, the five films in Hindi are Tere Bin Laden, I Am Kalam, Wake Up Sid, Paa and 3 Idiots.
According to officials in the Entertainments Society of Goa, this year 26 feature and 19 non-feature films have been selected. A ten-member jury headed by N Chandra selected the 26 feature films out of 140 films, after reviewing them for 20 days. While a five-member jury headed by Siddharth Kak selected 19 non-feature films out of 97 films over 7 days, they said.
Four films each from Marathi, Bengali and Malayalam are also to be screened in IFFI-10. An Oriya film Swayamsiddha, a Telegu film Prasthanam and an English film Just Another Love Story have also found place in the list, the officials said.
Among others include 3 Tamil and 3 Kannada films. The 2008 National Award winning Best Non-Feature Film “AFSPA 1958” and 2009 “The Postman”, have gained a direct entry into the film list of Indian Panorama. Some of the non-feature films category includes “Incurable India”, “Leaving Home”, “Motorbike”, “My Daddy Strongest” and others.
