PANJIM: Five patients suspected to have COVID-19 have been placed under hospital quarantine at Goa Medical College on Tuesday, taking the total to seven persons in the hospital’s isolation ward.
Goa has two active cases of COVID-19, who are undergoing treatment, while five cured patients have been quarantined at a resort in Candolim. The two positive cases are at the COVID hospital, Margao.
The health bulletin released by Directorate of Health Services on Tuesday further states that of 51 samples pending for testing, 47 are negative while reports of four are awaited.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, stated that 12 samples were tested at the Virology Lab in GMC and all the samples tested negative.
No persons have been placed under home or facility quarantine on Tuesday. Since January 29, 2020 till date 1,738 persons were placed under home quarantine while 202 under facility quarantine.
