PANJIM: Old Goa Police Inspector Ashish Shirodkar, who is likely to be quizzed by the Special Investigation Team in connection with ongoing probe into eight-year-old police-politician-drug mafia nexus, was on Friday transferred to Valpoi PTS.
He is amongst five PIs transferred to different police stations. The SIT on drugs formed after the House Committee recommended action, is preparing to summon all those named in the report, including former chief minister Ravi Naik and his son Roy for interrogation.
PI Deepak Pednekar has been transferred from Valpoi PTS to Special Branch while PI Sudesh Velip has been given charge of Old Goa PS. Quepem PI Manoj Mardolkar has been transferred to Goa Human Rights Commission, replacing PI Gurudas Kadam who is now back to Economic Offenses Cell in Panjim.
The order issued on Friday with the approval of Goa Police Establishment Board has given Sanguem PI Sagar Ekoskar additional charge of Quepem PS.
In another reshuffle, 65 PSIs have been transferred.
