PORVORIM: The Saligao unit of BJP launched its Uttarakhand Relief Fund drive on Monday.
The drive was launched in the presence of Tourism Minister and Saligao MLA Dilip Parulekar, Reis Magos Sarpanch Subhash Pednekar, Pilerne-Marra Sarpanch Sandeep Bandodker, Saligao BJP Mandal President Vasant Kauthanker, Vice President Shyam Govekar and panchas of Reis Magos and Pillern Panchayats.
Speaking to media persons, Parulekar said they have set a target of Rs 5 lakh and the work of collecting funds has been entrusted to 39 booth committees of Saligao constituency.
“There are six panchayats in Saligao constituency and the panchas of all the panchayats have agreed to contribute their salaries towards the relief fund.” he said.
