PANJIM, DEC 27
Reacting strongly to the Congress leader B K Hariprasad’s comments, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has said that it is firm on its decision to induct Mickky Pacheco into the cabinet and asked the Congress to follow the coalition dharma.
“Whatever the NCP High Command has conveyed to Chief Minister Digambar Kamat is a well-thought decision,” NCP State unit President Surendra Sirsat told Herald.
He further said “Digambar Kamat is leading a coalition government in the State and the Congress should follow coalition dharma.”
“The NCP has two ministerial berths and it is our decision who should be inducted for the two posts.” Sirsat said adding “…we are firm on Mickky being inducted into the cabinet”.
He, however, was also quick to add that he would wait for the NCP High Command’s decision on the matter.
“Hariprasad has stated that he will discuss the issue with NCP High Command and we are waiting for the outcome of that meeting. We will wait for the directives from our party High Command,” he said.
