PANJIM: In order to allow students to watch the FIFA under-17 World Cup matches to be held in Goa, Directorate of Education (DoE) on Monday issued a circular to heads of government, government aided and unaided schools, including higher secondaries, asking that the 1st terminal examination be rescheduled on or before October 7.
“In order to enable students to witness the matches of once in a life time event it is enjoyed upon the heads of all the schools to re-schedule the 1st terminal/summative examination so that it gets over on or before October 7. Regular classes to continue till end of the term,” states the circular issued by DoE.
The FIFA under 17 World Cup will be held in India, with Goa hosting matches from October 7 to 21 at the Fatorda stadium.
