Footballer Myron felicitated

Myron Mendes of Guardian Angel HSS, Curchorem was felicitated for being the only Goan for IMG scholarship programme for U-15 Indian footballers in Florida, USA from August 28 to June 2011 at a function organised by the staff of the school at Curchorem.
Betty Pereira, councillor of CCMC, Curchorem was the chief guest. “It’s a great honour for the school and parents to have Myron,” said Betty and further stated that he is a role model for the young football lovers.
The guest of honour, John Fernandes, APEO, Quepem appreciated the hard work put in by the young footballer.
Earlier, John D’Costa, president of Guardian Angel Sports Club, Curchorem presented a certificate of appreciation to Myron while Betty presented a memento in the presence of sports teacher, Arvind Chavan, football coach, Sharon Fernandes and Fr. Frank Mendes.
Mavis Viegas presented a report of Myron’s itinerary to the USA. Fr. Walter Miranda, headmaster of the school congratulated and wished Myron every success and later proposed the vote of thanks.
