For Class XI Science, Diploma courses admission, students will have to answer MCQ-based entrance exam

PANJIM: The students seeking admission for Science stream or Diploma courses for Class XI will have to answer 120 marks offline Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ)-based entrance examination, which is likely to take place in the last week of July. 

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) stated that the students, who had opted for Mathematics Level 2 during Class X, are also eligible for the entrance examination. 

Board Chairman Bhagirath Shetye said that the entrance exam will be based on Mathematics and Science portion of Class X. “Paper will contain two sections, Mathematics and Science, each of 60 marks. The exam will be based on multiple choices,” he said. 

Shetye said that the examination will be held offline mode in the respective schools. 

He said that each correct answer will get student one mark, while there is no negative marking. 

“We intend to hold the exam after July 15. The date is not finalised yet,” he said. 

From the Mathematics subject, portions related to Real Numbers, Applications of Trigonometry, Circles, Area Related to Circles and Surface Areas and Volumes is deleted from the examination.
