Foreign particles in sealed beer bottles!

CALANGUTE, APRIL 17
When a British national was served beer at a restaurant in Calangute, he was surprised to find dirt inside the bottle.
Surprisingly, when the waiter went to bring another beer, it was also full of dirt and foreign particles. The waiter immediately brought it to the notice of the restaurant owner, who alerted this correspondent and handed over the beer bottle, which was sealed packed and contained foreign particles.
When the matter was brought to the notice of Production In-charge of the beer company, he promised to look into the matter on priority basis and referred the matter to their area sales manager.
When contacted, the sales manager disagreed to the presence of foreign particles, but admitted it could be the presence of protein fungus, which is due to the leakage of the beer bottle.
When asked how a sealed bottle can leak, the sales manager blamed it on the transporter.
“The bottle must have leaked while being transported from the factory to the consumer spot in Calangute, where the roads are in bad state,” the sales manager said.
When contacted, the then director of Food and Drugs Pramod K Jain did not appear to take the matter seriously and merely said: “I will look into the matter.”
