Foreigners stranded in Goa airlifted to their destinations

VASCO: Foreign nationals, who were stranded in Goa, were on Tuesday airlifted in two relief flights from Goa International airport to their respective countries. 

One relief flight took off in the morning to Frankfurt with 317 on board and the other airlifted 133 stranded passengers to Moscow, Russia on Tuesday evening.

The Goa Airport tweeted that “One more relief flight this time to Frankfurt consisting German and EU pax 317 in all, departed  from Goa International Airport at 5 30 Am today. The Team Goa on job at all the times. WE CARE @AAI_Official @MoCA_GoI @DGCA_IN @MoHFW_INDIA @PTI_News @ANI @aairedwr”.

Later, “sixth relief flight from Goa Airport also took off for Moscow with 133 pax by Russia. Total 925 adult and 5 infants taken off since March 25, 2020 to their destinations. Many more to follow. TEAM GOA ALWAYS THERE @AAI_Official @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia @MoHFW_INDIA @goacm @aairedwr” tweet reads.

Further, as a precaution following the departure of relief flights on Tuesday, the sanitization of the terminal building was undertaken by the airport housekeeping staff.
