A woman has accused a man from Mumbai of forging her signature to avail of temporary electricity connection for a private shack at Agonda beach.
According to Canacona police, the complainant, a native of Agonda but residing in Santa-Cruz, Mumbai, registered a complaint with Canacona police claiming that a man from Goregaon-Mumbai had forged her signature.
In her complaint, the woman stated that the accused had availed of temporary electricity connection at Dhaval-Khazan, Agonda, for restaurants and huts by submitting an application along with documents forged with her signature without her knowledge.
“The accused also committed criminal breach of trust by misusing a photocopy of my PAN card annexing the same to the application to the Electricity department,” she stated. .
